This is a photo with one of our four adult Gold breast cocks, this particular tiny guy has bags of personality and is a very good father, he has reared two clutches of chicks with two different hens, first one of five then our current one of two. Also here are the Bicheno chicks adopting the characteristic owl "Glare" that they seem to enjoy. These chicks were nearly independent then at nearly six weeks, three weeks out the nest at 22/08/2000. These guys have now had their own chicks! They've grown up to be superb parents as I fully expected them to, their parents are superb at raising chicks so this is no surprise. Four more babies already as of Thursday, July 5th, 2001. Five more since then, now May 2002 and another baby has just started his moult, his beak is almost blue already, he'll be seven weeks old on Saturday 25th May.
